Program Benefits
The CSWE-accredited online Master of Social Work is a highly desirable degree that offers many advantages to graduates, and completion of the degree allows graduates to apply for licensure in many states (requirements vary by state). Additionally, students have the option of selecting between two program tracks: the Advanced Standing program, for students with an undergraduate degree in social work, and the 60-Credit Hour program, for students with an undergraduate degree in any field.
Unique Student Experience
Small class sizes allow for increased engagement from faculty. Through work-based practicums, OU provides opportunities to focus on niche areas of practice including mental health, disability services, and family/child services.
Emphasis on Simulations
Students engage in practical application of the course material and apply theories and practice in a safe environment. Social simulation utilizes trained actors portraying social work clients and is not common in online programs of social work.
